The Health & Safety Executive strongly recommends that First-Aiders under take annual refresher training during any three-year FAW/EFAW certifcate period. Although not mandatory, this will help qualified First-Aiders maintain their basic skills and keep up todate with any changes to First-Aid procedures.
Employer’ s should also encourage First-Aiders to regularly review their course manual and other materials, and where possible, allocate them time to do this. It will further help to maintain their First-Aid skills.
This First Aid at Work training course is not just an attend course, candidates are required to take part in practical assessements and some theorectical work.
